Job summary

Thisiscny is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform radiographic examinations under the supervision of the department radiologists at the Upstate Downtown Campus, Level 1 Trauma Center.

Responsibilities include ensuring radiation safety, verifying orders, and performing quality control. The role covers inpatient, outpatient, fluoroscopy, OR, and ER settings with adult and pediatric care. CPR-BLS is required and ARRT certification must be obtained within a year.

Qualifications

• AAS in Radiologic Technology or equivalent.
• NYS license/registration required or eligible (must obtain within 6 months of limited permit).
• ARRT certification required within 1 year of appointment.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic examinations under the direction of departmental radiologists.
• Practice radiation safety to minimize patient exposure.
• Verify physician orders and correctly identify patients.
• Complete required quality control procedures and maintain compliance with CE requirements.

Education

NYS license/registration eligible
