Job summary

Qualifications

• An Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology is required.
• CPR Certification Required.
• ARRT certification required.

Responsibilities

• Review requisitions to determine room setup and radiation needs; study views required relative to patient anatomy and perform examinations.
• Prepare and administer contrast agents (e.g., Barium) as required.
• Provide nursing care to patients during and after examinations, including evaluating patients and calling codes if needed.
• Ensure radiation protection for self, patient and staff using protective devices and by selecting appropriate radiation factors.
• Evaluate diagnostic films for quality; repeat unsuitable films as necessary.
• Assist radiologist during procedures and perform related duties as assigned.
• Train employees and students in day-to-day procedures.
