Job summary

Blanchard Valley Health System seeks a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist to provide diagnostic radiographs for patient care under supervision of the Office Manager. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and compassionate patient interaction.

The technologist will work across imaging modalities, maintain procedural knowledge, and collaborate with physicians to optimize imaging workflows while adhering to all policies and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology.
• Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Licensed by the state of Ohio as Radiologic Technologist (ODH).
• Positive service-oriented interpersonal and communication skills required.
• 1-2 years related work experience preferred; EMG, phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Selects proper technical factors and protocols pertaining to the Diagnostic Department.
• Demonstrates complete working knowledge of hardware and software used in imaging.
• Adheres to all policies, procedures, rules, and regulations as they pertain to the department and regulatory agencies.
• Explains procedure to the patient ensuring understanding, comfort, privacy, and safety.
• Collaborates with radiologists, physician offices, and medical facilities to ensure imaging productivity, referral patterns, and customer satisfaction.
• Demonstrates knowledge to provide age-appropriate care to urgent/care patients.
• Collaborates with physicians regarding patient condition, orders, treatment plan, and anticipated needs to ensure exceptional patient care.
• Demonstrates leadership to ensure quality of patient care and team collaboration.
• Assists and performs other duties as assigned by management or physician.
• Understands department and management line of authority and follows communication protocols.
• Displays Service Excellence by supporting the organization's mission, vision, and values.
