Qualifications

  • Graduate of a Radiologic Technology program required.
  • Previous healthcare experience preferred, with 2 years of clinical experience.

Responsibilities

Job description

Work Schedule:

80% FTE, day shift. Primarily PM and weekend coverage. Schedule is based on department needs with 64 hours guaranteed per pay period. Weekend and holiday rotation required. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

Pay: UW Health offers a competitive compensation and benefits package. Work experience relevant to the position will be considered when determining the starting base pay. This position will work at various UW Health locations. You may be eligible for a $12,000 sign-on bonus.

We are seeking a Radiologic Tech - Float to:

  1. Perform imaging on adults, geriatric patients, adolescents, and pediatric age groups using a variety of radiographic equipment, computers, detectors, and plate readers.
  2. Troubleshoot basic maintenance, participate in QA, and resolve issues related to image processing and the image archiving system.
  3. Learn and adhere to established section and organizational protocols, QA guidelines, and regulatory requirements.

Education:

Minimum - Graduate of a School of Radiologic Technology.

Preferred - Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

Work Experience:

Minimum - Previous healthcare experience.

Preferred - Two (2) years of clinical experience.

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Certification by the appropriate body (ARRT) and valid Wisconsin Radiological License.
  • CPR certification required within three months of hire.
  • If Bone Mineral Densitometry is part of the role, Bone Mineral Densitometry certification within 30 months of hire.
  • Radiology certification.
  • If Bone Mineral Densitometry is part of the role: ARRT Bone Densitometry Technologist (BD) or ISCD Certified Bone Densitometry Technologist (CBDT) within 1 year of completing orientation.
