Job description

Summary

This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. Applicants must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit their EDRP application within four months of appointment. This Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist (DRT) position is assigned to the White River Junction VA Healthcare System, under Diagnostic Imaging Service.

Qualifications

Applicants must meet all requirements by 15 calendar days from the closing date of this announcement, which is 06/25/2025.

Basic Requirements:

• United States Citizenship: Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens, in accordance with VA Policy.
• Certification: All applicants must be certified in general radiologic technology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) (R).
• Education: Completion of a full-time training course of at least 24 months in a post-high school diagnostic radiologic technology program, evidenced by a certificate or associate's degree, accredited by JRCERT or ARRT, with certification by ARRT in radiology.
• English Language Proficiency: Must be proficient in spoken and written English.

Duties

The technologist operates independently for routine procedures, with deviations referred to supervisors. Duties include performing imaging in various settings, interpreting requests, prioritizing exams, and performing advanced procedures in specialized areas. Work schedule is Monday-Friday, 08:00 AM - 04:30 PM. This position does not offer telework or virtual options.
