A leading healthcare provider is seeking a Radiologic Technologist in Oklahoma City. The role involves utilizing advanced equipment for a variety of diagnostic and interventional procedures to support cardiac care. Successful candidates must be certified and possess strong skills in imaging and sterile techniques, with opportunities for education debt reduction benefits.
This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program approval, award amount (up to $200,000), and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after a complete review of the EDRP application.
Duties
This position requires the Radiologic Technologist to work in a multifaceted X-Ray suite, utilizing specialized equipment to perform a variety of diagnostic and interventional angiographic procedures, including complex vascular and nonvascular interventional and therapeutic procedures. The focus of care is on the treatment and primary prevention of cardiac events. The Radiologic Technologist must be knowledgeable in diagnostic X-ray imaging and systems involving radiological archiving and communication. The Technologist must be skilled in sterile technique and operative standards.

Basic Requirements:
Grade Determinations
GS-9: Experience: At least one year of experience equivalent to the next lower grade level, demonstrating the clinical competencies described at that level. Employees at this grade serve as staff DRTs at the full performance level. Candidates must be qualified to independently provide services in specialized areas of radiologic technology and/or general radiologic technology services with only occasional oversight for highly complex issues.
Preferred Experience: Coronary intervention, Peripheral intervention, EP device experience

This position is above the full performance level at GS-9.
Physical Requirements: The work involves bending, carrying moderately heavy articles, pushing, pulling, assisting patients in positioning, reaching, working in strained positions, reaching above shoulder, using fingers with good dexterity, prolonged walking and standing, repeated bending, rapid mental and muscular coordination, far vision correctable to 20/20, ability to distinguish basic colors, speed, and emotional stability. DRTs must be proficient in spoken and written English as required by 38 U.S.C. 7402(d) and 7407(d).
