Job summary

Montgomery College, Takoma Park-Silver Spring campus, seeks a full-time Diagnostic Medical Sonography faculty member starting January 2027. The successful candidate will engage students across diverse backgrounds and deliver courses via face-to-face, online, hybrid, or blended formats.

The position requires collaboration with the Allied Health Department and clinical partners. Responsibilities include teaching DMS courses, maintaining accreditation standards, and contributing to program

Qualifications

• Master’s degree and credentials as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS).
• Experience delivering diverse instructional methods.
• Experience with Learning Management System (LMS).
• Commitment to inclusive teaching for a diverse student population.
• Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Teach a variety of courses within the Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
• Teach 30 semester hours per academic year.
• Opportunities may exist to teach summer classes.
• Participate in program evaluation, curriculum design, and outcomes assessment.
• Maintain content consistency across sections under department guidance.
• Provide support to the program and clinical coordinator as needed.
• Visit students at clinical sites in the D.C., Maryland, Virginia area.
• Engage in continuing education for credential maintenance and accreditation.
