Job summary

Sentara Princess Anne Hospital is seeking a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to perform ultrasound exams in an ambulatory/hospital setting. The role requires independent judgment and proficiency in preliminary structural reporting under physician direction.

The position requires a degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field, or completion of an approved training program, and ARRT or ARDMS registration for sites accredited by ACR on hire.

Qualifications

• Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field, or completion of an acceptable training program.
• Registered ARRT or ARDMS required for ACR accredited sites upon hire.
• ICAVL accredited sites; must be listed in the application as provisional technical staff.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures in ambulatory or hospital settings with independent judgment.
• Proficient in preliminary structural reporting and related duties.
• Work under supervision until credentialing/testing is completed within two years.
