Performs Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Tech I responsibilities in addition to one of the following: Interventional, DVT, or Hospital Based/Standing ED.Conducts general diagnostic ultrasound imaging studies of patients, within scope of demonstrated competency under the direction of a qualified physician, to include: scanning of patient for demonstration of correct anatomy/pathology, operation of sonography equipment, operation of the electronic radiology systems, preparation of patient room/equipment/medications, and maintains adequate supply inventory. Explains examination and procedure to patient and completes departmental documentation.
