Job summary

City and County of San Francisco’s Department of Public Health seeks a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer I-III for the San Francisco Health Network. This civil service permanent, full-time role conducts diagnostic imaging across obstetric, gynecologic, abdominal and vascular applications, trains staff, and contributes to quality improvement initiatives.

Applicants must meet ARDMS certification requirements and pass the Training and Experience Evaluation as part of the process.

Qualifications

• ARDMS certification in one or more specialties required
• Experience in diagnostic imaging across obstetrical, gynecological, abdominal, vascular and other areas preferred
• Ability to train medical staff and residents in ultrasound

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic imaging procedures in one or more specialties
• Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment and document procedures
• Train staff and students in ultrasound procedures
• Contribute to departmental quality improvement efforts
