Job summary

Onsite Imaging Services, LLC is a South Florida ultrasound provider delivering mobile diagnostic imaging services for over a decade. The team emphasizes teamwork, excellence, and clinical quality as it expands with experienced sonographers in multi-specialty imaging, including OB/GYN, vascular, and small parts studies.

The Diagnostic Medical Sonographer will operate sonographic equipment independently, perform pelvic and transvaginal scans for GYN/OB patients, and may cover multi-specialty

Qualifications

  • Graduate of a formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or Bachelor of Science in Diagnostic Medical Sonography is desirable.
  • Florida driver’s license
  • Personal automobile
  • Active ARDMS, CPR, OSHA certification
  • 2-3 year OB/GYN experience (Required)
  • Vascular and General / Abdomen experience (Preferred)
  • Echocardiogram experience (Preferred)
  • Small Parts (Breast/Thyroid/Scrotum) Experience - (Preferred)
  • CPR/BLS Certification (REQUIRED)

Responsibilities

  • Reviews patient history and physician's orders.
  • Educates patients regarding procedures, equipment and exams to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation.
  • Takes on call shift responsibilities as required by the department.
  • Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s).
  • Selects appropriate imaging parameters.
  • Implements safety standards and performs quality control procedures on equipment.
  • Troubleshoots equipment malfunctions and reports issues.
  • Strong communication with ordering physicians, other medical professionals, and administrative staff.

We are currently expanding our team and looking for talented, multi-specialty sonographers to join us.

Job Summary:

The Diagnostic Medical Sonographer is a qualified professional that is responsible for the independent operation of sonographic equipment. As an Ultrasound Technician, you will play a vital role by performing diagnostic ultrasounds. Your duties include performing routine pelvic and transvaginal scans for GYN/OB patients as well as possible multi-specialty services such as vascular and small parts studies, in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice, as well as the policies, values, and mission of the organization.

Responsibilities:
  • Reviews patient history and physician's orders.
  • Educates patients regarding procedures, equipment and exams to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation.
  • Takes on call shift responsibilities as required by the department.
  • Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s).Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patients and repeating procedures if clinically appropriate.
  • Prepares equipment and supplies.
  • Selects appropriate imaging parameters.
  • Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment.
  • Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary.
  • Strong communication skills required, ability to communicate effectively with ordering physicians, other medical professionals, and administrative staff.
Qualifications:
  • Graduate of a formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or Bachelor of Science degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography is desirable.

  • Fluent in speaking English (Spanish preferred)
  • Active ARDMS, CPR, OSHA certification - (RDMS, RVT, RDCS, CCI)
  • 2-3 Year OB/GYN experience (Required)
  • Vascular and General / Abdomen experience (Preferred)
  • Echocardiogram experience (Preferred)
  • Small Parts (Breast/Thyroid/Scrotum) Experience - (Preferred)
  • CPR/BLS Certification (REQUIRED)

Additional Job Information:

Complexity of Work: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Required Work Experience:

Prior work is experience required.

Other Information:

Must be registered in ARDMS (AB, OBGYN, RVT, BR, or PS).

Additional Education Info:

Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technologist program or possess a foreign diploma recognized by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).

Minimal travel between accounts will be required, expecting all travel to be conducted in a timely manner ensuring punctuality.
