Job summary

Cogdell Memorial Hospital in Snyder, TX seeks a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to perform 2D/3D ultrasound imaging for diagnostic purposes. The role requires ARDMS SPI and registry in OB/GYN, Abdomen, and Breast, plus ARDMS Vascular certification and a current BLS.

Strong teamwork and communication are essential in a fast-paced hospital setting. The position is full-time with 12-hour shifts (7 on/7 off) and opportunities to contribute to patient care.

Qualifications

• Must be a high school graduate or equivalent and graduate from an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
• Successful completion of the ARDMS SPI examination is required.
• Must be eligible for ARDMS registry requirements and have certification in OB/GYN, Abdomen, and Breast.
• Successful completion of ARDMS for Vascular Sonography is required.
• Current BLS certification is required.

GENERAL

Position Overview

Performs two dimensional (2D) and three dimensional (3D-when required) ultrasonic recordings of internal organs for the diagnosis of disease and study of the malfunction of organs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Must be a high school graduate or equivalent; graduate from an accredited Diagnostic Medical sonography program. Successful completion of the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography examination for Sonography Principles and Instrumentation (SPI) required.

Experience

Previous experience preferred but not required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Strong organizational and interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; strong reasoning/critical thinking skills; proficiency with computer including Microsoft Office applications.

Licensure/Certification

Must be eligible for registry requirements by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) and have a certification in each area of specialty, etc. OB/GYN, Abdomen, and Breast. Successful completion of the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography for Vascular Sonography required. Current BLS
