Position Overview
Seeking an experienced Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to perform a wide range of ultrasound procedures, ensure high‑quality imaging, maintain patient safety and comfort, and support physicians with accurate diagnostic information.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform ultrasound examinations and adjust equipment to capture optimal imaging.
- Use independent judgment to identify normal and abnormal findings.
- Ensure patient comfort, explain procedures, and address questions.
- Maintain accurate records and update electronic health systems.
- Assist with IV insertions for contrast studies when required.
- Manage scheduling, verify authorizations, and prepare exam rooms.
- Follow safety, infection‑control, and regulatory standards.
- Complete additional duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Applied Science.
- RDMS or ARRT (US) certification required.
- BLS certification.
- 3+ years of sonography experience.
- RVT a plus (training can be provided).
- Strong communication, technical, and patient‑care skills.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently; occasional lifting up to 100 lbs. May require 8–12‑hour shifts and exposure to clinical environments.
