Job summary

One Physics in NYC Metro seeks a Diagnostic Medical Physicist to support imaging centers and hospital departments, evaluating imaging systems to ensure compliance with state regulations and standards. The physicist will assess image quality and advise on facility design, shielding, and radiation exposure for patients and staff.

Qualifications

• Board certification in Diagnostic Medical Physics or CAMPEP residency.
• 3+ years clinical imaging experience including radiation safety and procedures.
• Knowledge of state regulations, ACR and TJC criteria, and regulatory guides.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrate initiative, organization, and ownership of daily tasks.

Responsibilities

• Medical Physics QC services of modalities including diagnostic imaging and nuclear medicine.
• Radiation protection surveys and shielding evaluations.
• Participation in radiation safety and QC meetings; regulatory QC inspections for diagnostic and mammography departments.
• Create and deliver training sessions to meet regulatory and academic requirements.
• Maintain a client-centric approach and high levels of client satisfaction.
