Job summary

Baystate Health in Massachusetts is seeking a Full Time Medical-Diagnostic Physicist to join our Radiation Safety/Diagnostic Imaging team. The role supports diagnostic imaging modalities across the BH System, including CT, MRI, and nuclear medicine, and may involve teaching radiology residents.

The successful candidate will have a master's in medical physics, board eligibility, and experience with imaging equipment, QA, dosimetry, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

Master's degree in medical physics required with strong diagnostic medical physics background.
Board-eligible or certified by ABR in Diagnostic Radiological Physics desirable with plan to certify within 3 years.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills for teaching and cross-disciplinary work.

Responsibilities

Provide QA surveys, acceptance testing, and dosimetry analysis for radiological imaging equipment.
Support regulatory compliance and inspections across imaging modalities (CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, etc.).
Assist with research support, resident teaching, and staff education.
Participate in administrative tasks related to regulatory inspections.
