Job summary

Qualifications

• Recent experience in an acute care setting in a full-service hospital as a radiologic technologist (preferred).
• Knowledge of radiologic principles, techniques, and safety regulations.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and operate radiographic equipment safely.
• Licensure and certifications required as stated in the posting.

Responsibilities

• Provides diagnostic services to produce images; positions and transfers patients; selects proper technical factors for each patient.
• Operates equipment and ensures safety standards are followed.
• Assists physicians with contrast media administration; ensures quality and proper equipment function.
• Maintains accurate records and keeps work areas clean and organized; secures supplies.
• Instructs students and ancillary personnel; assists with varied procedures and equipment usage.
• Assists in developing technical factors; records patient information; maintains professional relationships.
