Baptist Health in Paducah, KY, seeks a Diagnostic Imaging Patient Navigator working Monday–Friday, 7:30am–4pm, to oversee imaging programs, incidental findings, and preoperative imaging ensuring timely diagnoses and regulatory compliance.

The role coordinates biopsies and imaging requests, collaborates with radiology, cardiology, and pulmonology teams, tracks lung cancer screenings, and educates patients and the community about radiology services and early detection.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• At least two years of related imaging or healthcare experience.
• RN license valid in Kentucky or Compact; or ARRT certification required.

Responsibilities

• Track and manage all lung cancer screenings, ensuring timely diagnoses and adherence to clinical protocols.
• Maintain accurate records and communicate findings to providers for coordinated care.
• Reports data to CMS guidelines and ACR standards.
• Review incidental lung findings from radiology reports and ensure proper follow-up; liaise with radiologists and referring providers.
• Provide patient education on test results and next steps in lung cancer coordination.
• Represent lung cancer screening programs at local events and develop outreach strategies to engage the public and healthcare providers.
• Educate the community about radiology services, career opportunities, and early detection programs.

The Imaging Navigator is responsible for overseeing and managing the imaging program, incidental findings, and preoperative imaging procedures, ensuring timely diagnoses and compliance with regulatory standards. This role includes tracking and documenting screenings, coordinating biopsies and imaging procedures, and collaborating with various departments such as radiology, cardiology, and pulmonology to ensure seamless patient care.

Job Duties

• Track and manage all lung cancer screenings, ensuring timely diagnoses and adherence to clinical protocols.
• Maintain accurate records and communicate findings to providers for coordinated care.
• Reports data to maintain compliance with CMS guidelines and ACR standards.
• Review and document incidental lung findings from radiology reports and ensure proper follow-up. Serve as a liaison between radiologists and referring providers to facilitate patient care.
• Provides patient education/teaching on test results and next steps in lung cancer coordination.
• Represent lung cancer screening programs at local events and develop outreach strategies to engage the public and healthcare providers.
• Educate the community about radiology services, career opportunities, and early detection programs.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree
• Two years of job related experience
• Must be a Registered Nurse with a current KY or Compact RN License or a ARRT Board Certified Technologist
