Endeavor Health is seeking a Diagnostic Imaging Assistant (MRI Department) in Naperville, IL. Per Diem position with rotating weekends/holidays and possible offsite float. Hourly pay range based on experience.

Responsibilities include assisting patients and radiology staff, explaining procedures, and ensuring excellent customer service. Requires a high school diploma, CPR within 30 days of hire, and 1–2 years in healthcare, with knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• CPR certification required within 30 days of hire date.
• 1–2 years in healthcare, direct patient care preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy; 35–40 wpm typing preferred.
• Excellent telephone etiquette and Windows experience.
• Experience with healthcare information systems, including PACS, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients, their families, technologists, physicians, and hospital staff under supervision in a courteous, professional manner.
• Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxiety and promote trust.
• Deliver customer service in all aspects of the role and support the Radiology team.

Hourly Pay Range: $19.22 - $27.87 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights

• Position: Diagnostic Imaging Assistant (MRI Department)
• Per Diem - As needed based on the needs of the department
• Location: Edward Hospital, Naperville, IL
• Floating locations: will possible float to offsite location
• Hours: As needed, as needed for rotating weekends and holidays

What you will do

Under general supervision Radiology Support Supervisor and the Lead technologists, and according to established policies and procedures, provides assistance to patients, their significant others, technologists, physicians and other hospital personnel as assigned or needed in a professional and courteous manner. Delivers and ensures customer service in all aspects to job. Explains procedure to patients, giving opportunity for questions to reduce anxiety and promote trust.

What you will need

• Education: A High School diploma or GED and strong computer proficiency required.
• Certification: CPR certification required within 30 days of hire date.
• Experience: One to two years of experience in a healthcare setting, especially in direct patient care roles, preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy with keyboarding skills of 35-40 wpm preferred.
• Excellent telephone etiquette required.
• Previous Windows experience is required.
• Unique or Preferred Skills: Experience with healthcare information systems, including PACS, is preferred
