Olympic Medical Center is seeking a Diagnostic Imaging Aide to coordinate modality-specific patient procedures and transport, both in-patient and out-patient. The role requires the ability to learn a broad knowledge base of examinations, make quick decisions, and support scheduling and record gathering tasks with empathy and professionalism.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, medical transport/clerical experience, and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or equivalent required.
• Post high school clerical training or college coursework preferred.
• Three years of clerical or transport experience in a medical setting preferred.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Completion of a medical certification course (PCA, MA, CNA, etc.) preferred.
• Medical Terminology certification preferred.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate modality-specific patient procedures including in-patient and out-patient transport to and from the procedure area.
• Learn and retain knowledge of all examinations performed in the modality.
• Make quick, independent decisions using good judgement.
• Handle emergency scheduling and obtain records, lab history, and other duties as assigned.
