Riverside Diagnostic Center - Hampton is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform radiology exams under physician orders, ensuring patient safety and high-quality imaging. You will assist radiologists, follow ALARA principles, document procedures, and maintain equipment readiness in a fast-paced diagnostic setting.

The role requires ARRT Radiology (R) certification and CPR/BLS certification upon hire, with weekend shifts and potential float across locations as needed.

Qualifications

• ARRT Radiology (R) certification required upon hire.
• CPR/BLS Certification required upon hire.
• Radiology experience preferred.

Hampton, VirginiaHiring Range$28.90 - $39.78/Hourly Actual pay is determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, education, credentials, skills, internal equity, and business needs.OverviewThe Radiologic Technologist in diagnostic center setting is responsible for performing radiology exams on patients as requested by the referring physicians. Performs all radiology exams and procedures in accordance with RHS policy and procedures. Performs patient preparation and explanation of exams, responds to patient questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process, and completes all associated patient and equipment screening and technical documentation.What you will doAssists radiologists in performing Radiologic imaging procedures. Select proper protocol to obtain optimal images and provides clinical documentation per scope of practice.Performs with a high degree of safety and quality and prevents or reduces harms through knowledge and application of policies, procedures, protocols using safety behaviors. Responsible for the preparation of equipment, instrumentation, and departmental supplies required to support quality patient care. Follows ALARA principles according to policy.Understands and adheres to all applicable regulatory and accrediting standards. Reports variances.Coordinates patient care and performs effective assessment, actions, and documentation.
