Job summary

Riverside Diagnostic Center - Williamsburg is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform radiology exams and support radiologists in diagnostic imaging. You will prepare equipment, explain procedures to patients, and ensure safety and quality standards are met.

Responsibilities include selecting proper protocols, documenting procedures, coordinating patient care, and maintaining supplies while adhering to ALARA and regulatory requirements. Weekend shifts and multi-location coverage may apply.

Qualifications

• ARRT Radiologic Technologist (R) certification required upon hire.
• CPR/BLS Certification required upon hire.
• Understanding of radiology procedures and safety standards (ALARA).

Responsibilities

• Assists radiologists in performing Radiologic imaging procedures.
• Selects proper protocol to obtain optimal images and documents accordingly.
• Prepares equipment, instrumentation and supplies to support patient care.
• Follows ALARA principles and adheres to regulatory standards.
• Coordinates patient care, performs assessments, and documents actions.
• Maintains inventory to ensure uninterrupted service.

Williamsburg, VirginiaHiring Range$28.90 - $39.78/Hourly Actual pay is determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, education, credentials, skills, internal equity, and business needs.OverviewThe Radiologic Technologist in diagnostic center setting is responsible for performing radiology exams on patients as requested by the referring physicians. Performs all radiology exams and procedures in accordance with RHS policy and procedures. Performs patient preparation and explanation of exams, responds to patient questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process, and completes all associated patient and equipment screening and technical documentation.What you will doAssists radiologists in performing Radiologic imaging procedures. Select proper protocol to obtain optimal images and provides clinical documentation per scope of practice.Performs with a high degree of safety and quality and prevents or reduces harms through knowledge and application of policies, procedures, protocols using safety behaviors. Responsible for the preparation of equipment, instrumentation, and departmental supplies required to support quality patient care. Follows ALARA principles according to policy.Understands and adheres to all applicable regulatory and accrediting standards. Reports variances.Coordinates patient care and performs effective assessment, actions, and documentation.
