Job summary

Vancouver Clinic is seeking an impactful Diabetes Educator for a part-time role (20 hrs/week) to educate and train diabetes patients across two locations: 87th Ave Clinic, Vancouver, WA 98664 and Battle Ground Clinic, Battle Ground, WA 98604.

Compensation starts at $42-$52 per hour, commensurate with experience; benefits include a robust Total Rewards Program with health, dental, vision, life insurance, and a 401(k) plan with employer match.

Qualifications

  • WA State certification as a Registered Dietitian (required).
  • Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) by CBDCE (required).
  • Current registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (required).
  • At least 1 year of experience providing diabetes care and education in an ambulatory care setting (preferred).

  • Plan, educate, and support self‑management care for patients and family members with diabetes.

Job description

Position Overview

We are looking for an impactful Diabetes Educator who has a passion for providing education and training for diabetes patients. This part‑time position (20 hrs/week) will support two locations: 87th Ave Clinic, 700 NE 87th Ave, Vancouver, WA 98664 and Battle Ground Clinic, 2005 W Main St, Battle Ground, WA 98604. Compensation starts between $42‑52 per hour, depending on experience.

Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized diabetes self‑management education and training, including initial and comprehensive skills training.
  • Plan, educate, and support self‑management care for patients and family members with diabetes and other medical nutrition diagnoses.
  • Work with the diabetes program coordinator to deliver DSME program education, integrate nutrition plans into treatment plans, and perform individualized follow‑up with program participants.
Qualifications
  • WA State certification as a Registered Dietitian (required).
  • Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) by the Certification Board for Diabetes Care and Education (CBDCE) (required).
  • Current registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (required).
  • At least 1 year of experience providing diabetes care and education in an ambulatory care setting (preferred).
  • Ability to work with a diverse population of patients and colleagues without or with reasonable accommodation.
