Kaleida Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the OGH Diabetes Education department in Olean, NY. The RN will assess adult and pediatric patients with diabetes, provide essential education on self-management, and consult with medical staff.
This per-diem role does not require weekends or holidays and follows a 7 a.m. - 3 p.m. schedule. Candidates must have an Associate's Degree in Nursing, with a Bachelor’s preferred and at least two years of relevant nursing experience.
The RN will assess patients with diabetes (adult and pediatric) for actual and/or potential problems affecting the patient’s health based on assessment, department policy, and case findings. The RN will provide education and health counseling for the patient and family/caregiver on diabetes self‑management topics and provide resources and consultation to staff and medical providers.
Olean General Hospital, Olean, NY. Work type: Per‑Diem. Shift 1. Onsite arrangement. Scheduled work hours: 7 a.m. – 3 p.m. Standard hours bi‑weekly: 7.50. No weekend/holiday requirement. No on‑call requirement.
Associate’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited professional nursing school. Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
At least two (2) years of medical/surgical nursing.
