Job summary

CentraCare Health is seeking a Part-time Diabetes Educator to provide education in the Diabetes Center and Endocrinology clinic. You will teach medication management and lifestyle changes to patients at all stages of their diabetes journey, including technology use with sensors and pumps. Collaboration with clinical teams is key.

Scheduling is 8am-4:30pm, Monday to Friday, 48 hours every two weeks in St. Cloud.

Qualifications

• This role requires clinical teaching, orientation, leadership and effective communication.
• Experience in diabetes education and nursing practice is preferred.
• Certification as a Diabetes Educator is required within two years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide diabetes education to patients at all stages of their journey.
• Teach medication management and lifestyle modifications in individual or small group settings.
• Work with diabetes technology such as sensors and pumps.
