Parkland Health is seeking a Diabetes Care Educator to provide expert education and self-management support for patients with diabetes. The role requires an RN license or a Bachelor’s in Nutrition, with at least three years of direct diabetes care experience.

Bilingual Spanish is preferred, with strong communication and computer skills. The educator will work with a multidisciplinary team in Dallas, delivering individualized education plans, documenting outcomes, and participating in quality

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing or have a bachelor’s degree in food and nutrition.
• Three years of clinical experience in direct diabetes care.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred; strong communication with patients and families.

Responsabilités

• Provide complex diabetes care following protocols and multidisciplinary plan of care.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and document medical data and education services.
• Collaborate with diabetes care team to set educational goals and individualized plans.
• Lead or participate in community outreach and diabetes education initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards and continue professional development.
