Job summary
AdventHealth is seeking a Diabetes Educator to support diabetes management education for patients across inpatient and outpatient settings. You will design personalized education plans, monitor progress, and collaborate with the care team to improve outcomes. The role may involve community outreach and ongoing patient support to promote wellness.
Required Bachelor’s in dietetics or nursing, with 1+ year diabetes experience preferred. Bilingual Spanish is a plus. Full-time, on-site in Florida.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in dietetics or nursing required.
- 1+ year of experience in diabetes specialty preferred.
- Ability to teach patients in individual and group settings.
Responsibilities
- Develop personalized diabetes education plans for patients.
- Provide diabetes education for inpatients and outpatients, individually and in groups.
- Monitor patient progress and offer ongoing support and education.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
- Engage in community outreach to promote diabetes awareness.
