UNC Health in Chapel Hill, NC, seeks an experienced diabetes education educator to join the Inpatient Diabetes Education Team. The role provides personalized self‑management education to hospitalized patients from newborns to end‑of‑life, supports clinical staff, and helps develop programs and materials.

The ideal candidate holds a BSN and at least three years of RN experience, including two years caring for patients with diabetes and prior nurse education experience.

Formación

• BSN from a state-accredited school.
• Licensed RN in North Carolina.
• CPR certification for Home Health/Hospice.
• Valid NC Driver's License.
• Three years of tertiary care with two years in the assigned specialty.

Responsabilidades

• Acts as resource and role model in evidence-based practice.
• Assists in orientation and placement of nursing students in clinical units.
• Supports nursing staff with research and performance improvement projects.
• Coordinates orientation, staff development and continuing education for nursing staff.
• Develops evidence-based standards of care and nursing plans.
• Develops and evaluates educational materials and e-learning programs for nursing staff.
• Collaborates to develop patient and family education materials.
