Job summary

WVUH West Virginia University Hospitals is seeking a Registered Dietitian to perform patient assessments, deliver education, and provide MNT for outpatient diabetes care. The role involves coordinating with the diabetes care team, supporting ADA certification, and participating in community outreach.

Two years of clinical experience with diabetes care is required, and a CDCES certification should be pursued within two years of hire. This is a part-time, on-site role in Morgantown, WV.

Qualifications

• RD or RDN credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
• Current licensure as required by the state board where services are provided.
• CDCES certification to be obtained within two years from hire date.

Responsibilities

• Identifies education needs of the community and those with diabetes.
• Performs patient assessment, delivers education and evaluates patient outcomes.
• Maintains ADA certification as applicable and participates in community outreach and education support.
• Provides comprehensive medical nutrition therapy (MNT) to outpatients with diabetes education.
• Collaborates with primary care and multi-disciplinary team to optimize patient care.
