Job summary

ISN Corporation is seeking experienced Background Investigators for independent contractor work under a National Security Clearance Background Investigations Program. The role involves conducting federal background investigations, interviewing references, and reviewing diverse records to produce precise reports.

You will work independently, manage multiple cases, and adhere to strict quality and confidentiality standards while using government systems and MS Office tools. A U.S.

Qualifications

• 3 years of general investigative experience within the last 5 years and completion of “New Investigator” training, and a high school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of specialized Federal background investigative experience within the last five years and a high school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of “New Investigator” training and at least a bachelor’s degree
• Favorably adjudicated background security clearance (T5 or HT) and proof of U.S. Citizenship

Responsibilities

• Conduct federal background investigations, including subject interviews and record reviews
• Perform interviews with references, employers, neighbors, and other sources
• Review and analyze records (criminal, employment, education, financial, and other public records)
• Prepare accurate, thorough, and timely written investigative reports
• Meet strict quality, timeliness, and compliance standards
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately
• Use government-provided systems and adhere to investigative guidelines
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Work independently and manage multiple cases
• Proficiency with investigative reporting systems and Microsoft Office tools

ISN Corp is actively recruiting Background Investigators to support an upcoming National Security Clearance Background Investigations Program. Investigators will conduct comprehensive federal background investigations in accordance with the federal agency and federal standards to support national security and public trust missions. This role will be for independent contractors.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct federal background investigations, including subject interviews and record reviews
• Perform interviews with references, employers, neighbors, and other sources
• Review and analyze records (criminal, employment, education, financial, and other public records)
• Prepare accurate, thorough, and timely written investigative reports
• Meet strict quality, timeliness, and compliance standards
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately
• Use government-provided systems and adhere to investigative guidelines
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Work independently and manage multiple cases
• Proficiency with investigative reporting systems and Microsoft Office tools

Required Qualifications:

At least one of the three options below is required.

• 3 years of general investigative experience (i.e. military, local, state or federal law enforcement or investigative functions) within the last 5 years and completion of “New Investigator” training and at least a high school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of specialized Federal background investigative experience within the last five (5) years and at least a high school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of “New Investigator” training and at least a bachelor’s degree

Clearance & Suitability Requirements-Must Have

• Favorably adjudicated (T5 or HT level) background security clearance
• Proof of U.S. Citizenship
