Job summary

ISN Corporation is actively recruiting Background Investigators to support a National Security Clearance program. Investigators will conduct federal background investigations, including interviews and record reviews, to support national security and public trust missions.

This role is for independent contractors and requires adherence to strict guidelines, strong integrity, and ability to work independently across multiple cases with government systems and MS Office.

Qualifications

• 3 years of general investigative experience within the last 5 years & completion of “New Investigator” training & at least a high school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of specialized Federal background investigative experience within the last five years & at least a high school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of “New Investigator” training & at least a bachelor’s degree

Responsibilities

• Conduct federal background investigations, including subject interviews and record reviews.
• Perform interviews with references, employers, neighbors, and other sources.
• Review and analyze records (criminal, employment, education, financial, and other public records).
• Prepare accurate, thorough, and timely written investigative reports; meet strict quality and timeliness standards.
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
• Use government-provided systems and adhere to investigative guidelines.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Work independently and manage multiple cases.
• Proficiency with investigative reporting systems and Microsoft Office tools.

ISN Corp is actively recruiting Background Investigators to support an upcoming National Security Clearance Background Investigations Program. Investigators will conduct comprehensive federal background investigations in accordance with the federal agency and federal standards to support national security and public trust missions. This role will be for independent contractors

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct federal background investigations, including subject interviews and record reviews
• Perform interviews with references, employers, neighbors, and other sources
• Review and analyze records (criminal, employment, education, financial, and other public records)
• Prepare accurate, thorough, and timely written investigative reportsMeet strict quality, timeliness, and compliance standards
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately
• Use government-provided systems and adhere to investigative guidelines
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Work independently and manage multiple cases
• Proficiency with investigative reporting systems and Microsoft Office tools

Required Qualifications:

At least one of the three options below is required.

3 years of general investigative experience (i.e. military, local, state or federal law enforcement or investigative functions) within the last 5 years & completion of “New Investigator” training & at least a high school diploma or equivalent.

OR

1 year of specialized Federal background investigative experience within the last five (5) years & at least a high school diploma or equivalent

OR

Completion of “New Investigator” training & at least a bachelor’s degree

Clearance & Suitability Requirements-Must Have

• Favorably adjudicated (T5 or HT level) background security clearance
• Proof of U.S. Citizenship
