Job summary

Candor Consulting & Diagnostics in Irving, TX is seeking a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing to empower students who are deaf or hard of hearing to achieve academic success and independence.

You will design IEP-based instruction, collaborate with specialists and families, and advocate for accessibility through assistive technologies, language development, and inclusive practices.

Competitive pay starts at $50 per hour with flexible full-time, part-time, or as-needed roles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Deaf Education, Special Education, or related field.
• Master’s in Education for Students with Hearing Impairments preferred but not required.
• Texas Educator Certification in Deaf and Hard of Hearing required.
• Knowledge of IDEA and IEP processes essential.
• ASL fluency required; bilingual skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with IEP teams to develop and implement IEPs for students with hearing impairments.
• Deliver language development, auditory skills, and social-emotional learning instruction.
• Monitor student progress and adapt teaching to meet IEP goals.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, SLPs, audiologists, and families.
• Advocate for accommodations and assistive technologies to ensure access to learning.
