Requirements:

  • Fluency in ASL with a focus on total communication.
  • CA Certificate “Teacher of the Deaf or Hard of Hearing” or “Teacher of the Deaf or Hard of Hearing for Oral/Aural Communication” or “Teacher of the Deaf or Hard of Hearing with Sign Language Communication.”
  • Pediatric Experience
  • Strong Clinical & Interpersonal Skills
  • 2 years working experience as an Teacher of the Deaf
  • 1 year of school‑based or clinical experience; children ages 3-18
  • Experience in IEP services and assessments preferred
