Edmonds School District seeks a certificated Deaf/Hard of Hearing Elementary teacher (1-5) for Madrona K-8 School beginning with the 2026-27 school year. This .8 FTE position includes a .2 FTE non-continuing assignment for the 2026-27 year.
The candidate will plan and deliver instruction for Deaf and hard-of-hearing students, use American Sign Language, and develop IEP-based goals. Proficiency in ASL and written English is required; Deaf Education endorsement is preferred.

About the Position
This is a .8 FTE position for a DHH Elementary (1-5) Teacher atMadrona K-8 School that begins with the2026-27 school year.
Note: .2 FTE of this position is non-continuing for the 2026-27 school year ONLY.
Our program pursues excellence for students in Deaf Education through visually accessible learning environments (American Sign Language) that promote literacy, problem solving skills, and academic and social growth in the least restrictive environment (LRE). Teachers plan and provide communication, social, and academic instruction for primary grade level students. This position requires you to:

Salary:
2026-27 Salary Schedule Range: $85,456 through $152,066.Placement on this salary schedule is determined by FTE and official documentation verifying Educational Level and Certificated Work Experience and will be prorated for less than a full year and/or FTE.
