Responsibilities

Job Summary: As a Meat Cutter, you'll help provide the freshest quality products for the customer through a well-stocked and well-maintained department while providing great customer service by performing all job responsibilities with a sense of ownership and team approach. You'll continuously cut, prepare, tray, and merchandise fresh product on a daily basis, while under the supervision of a Meat Cutter I.

Production

Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions:

• Cuts, trims, trays, scrapes meat for display, according to company standards, and while partnered with a Meat Cutter I
• Fill products; chickens, chubs, seasoned meats as needed
• Operates grinder, saw, knife sharpener, tenderizer, slicer
• Weighs / wraps / labels product packages for sale
• Rotates product in meat cooler, sales floor; ensures proper storage practices
• Consistently communicates to ensure the highest quality and freshness standards are met
• Practices safety awareness; safely performs meat cutting duties at all times
• Assists in technical areas as needed

Customer Service

• Provides great customer service by cutting meat products and labeling appropriately
• Answers customers questions regarding products and assists them with selections

Food Safety / Sanitation

• Cleans and sanitizes display cases; properly operates / maintains equipment
• Complies with department / store operating procedures and federal / state regulations
