Responsibilities

As a Meat Cutter at Joe V's Smart Shop, you will help provide the freshest products to customers through well-stocked and maintained departments, offering excellent customer service with a sense of ownership and teamwork. Your daily tasks include cutting, preparing, tray, and merchandising fresh meat products, under supervision of a Meat Cutter I.

Key responsibilities include:

• Cutting, trimming, and preparing meat according to standards
• Operating equipment such as grinders, saws, tenderizers, and slicers
• Weighing, wrapping, and labeling products for sale
• Rotating stock and maintaining proper storage practices
• Ensuring product quality and freshness
• Maintaining safety standards

Physical and Environmental Requirements

Must be able to stand, reach, grasp, and perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 90 lbs. Must be comfortable working in cold, wet, and noisy environments, and around mechanical equipment. Proper safety procedures must be followed at all times.
