Job summary

LAZ Parking seeks a Maintenance Operations Supervisor to oversee the Dallas Fort Worth Shuttle Bus Wash, Fueling and Maintenance program. You will work with the General Manager to guarantee safe, efficient daily operations and adherence to client and company standards.

The role requires managing 20+ staff, enforcing policies, coordinating schedules, safety inspections, and reporting performance metrics. A Class A/B license with air brake endorsements and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A or B license with air brake and passenger endorsements.
• 3 years’ experience in a commercial transportation or paratransit operation.
• 2 years of management experience (Parking or transportation industry preferred).
• Knowledge of DOT rules and ADA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Shuttle AGM with daily operational needs, implementing policies and procedures.
• Manage hourly staff including Shuttle Bus Wash, Fueling, Maintenance Dispatchers and Customer Support.
• Coach and enforce policies; promote teamwork and safety.

The Spirit Of The Position

The Maintenance and Operations Supervisor will oversee daily operations at the airport, supporting and assisting the General Manager and ensuring the overall operational success of the shuttle washing, fueling and maintenance program.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Shuttle Assistant General Manager (AGM) with general oversight of daily operational needs, implementing policies and procedures, following standards of operations and completion of tasks in a timely manner.
• Management of hourly staff to include, but not be limited to Shuttle Bus Wash, Fueling, Maintenance Dispatchers and Customer Support.
• Encourage and motivate the workforce, instill teamwork, coach, and implement corrective action to enforce policies and procedures.
• Promote “The LAZ Way” (Motto’s, Values & Practices).
• Assist in establishing individualized goals for employees. Helps employees to determine a plan for achieving those goals and monitors progress throughout the process.
• Creates and monitors daily schedules (including rest and meal breaks), write work assignments, and provide spot audits of work completed to ensure it meets the client and company’s standards.
• Review and approve time off requests, adjusting the schedule as needed to meet service standards and business requirements.
• Communicate with the AGM on operational and personnel challenges.
• Participate in hiring, training, evaluating, and developing all shuttle employees.
• Assist AGM and HR in overseeing LAZ U training. Work closely with location’s HRBP to further employee development initiatives.
• Processing daily reports (ex: passenger counts, headways, etc.) on a regular basis as assigned by the AGM and/or Shuttle AGM.
• Responsible for adherence of personnel to all safety standards promoting workplace safety.
• Schedule, review, and act upon monthly facility and vehicle safety inspections.
• Oversight of monthly driver evaluations conducted by Safety Manager and support team.
• Ensure all staff adhere to superior service standards in each department, maintaining high levels of customer service for all personnel.
• Manage fleet maintenance and cleaning schedule and report issues/repair needs to AGM.
• Perform routine inventory and inspection of operating supplies and equipment such as radios, safety vests, cones, etc.
• Ensure all employees have the supplies needed to successfully complete their job.
• Attend internal meetings with SMF management as needed.
• Handle additional tasks assigned by the VP, GM, and/or Assistant GM.

Requirements

• Valid Class A or B license with air brake and passenger endorsements
• Three (3) years’ experience in a commercial transportation or paratransit operation
• Two (2) years management experience (Parking or transportation industry preferred)
• Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations
• Knowledge of ADA rules and regulations

Education

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.

Experience

• MUST have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• MUST have prior experience in managing staff of 20+ employees.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Familiarity with telematics systems including camera and GPS devices.
