Job description

We are seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician as we grow our business. In addition to providing startup and warranty support to our construction group, this technician will also support our end user clients through scheduled maintenance, equipment repair, and equipment replacement projects.

Pay: $25 - $45 per hour, depending upon experience and education

Work hours: 7:00am - 5:30pm, Monday to Friday (Weekends, Overtime, and Evenings on occasion)

Primary Job Functions:

1. Perform electrical and mechanical inspection and maintenance on HVAC equipment to ensure peak performance
2. Perform scheduled maintenance tasks per scope of work and document operational data
3. Use experience and technical skills to determine service requirements
4. Interpret engineering drawings related to system layout, location, and operation
5. Represent the company positively to other trades, contractors, and owners
6. Advise customers of system issues and communicate corrective actions within the department
7. Suggest solutions beyond repairs beneficial to customers
8. Work in a team environment to share information and ensure customer satisfaction
9. Submit required paperwork timely
10. Work safely and adhere to all safety measures
11. Perform additional duties as assigned and assist with other tasks as needed
12. Be flexible to work overtime and weekends as required
13. Provide excellent customer service with a positive attitude
14. Adhere to all company policies and procedures

Required Qualifications:

1. At least five years' experience servicing commercial and residential HVAC units
2. Valid driver's license with insurable driving record
3. Ability to pass drug screening and background check
4. Ability to work in diverse conditions, including mechanical rooms, extreme weather, high voltage, and at heights
5. Ability to climb ladders and lift/move up to 50 pounds
6. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
7. All necessary tools and a working knowledge of relevant skills
8. Understanding of preventative maintenance benefits
9. Strong customer service and communication skills
10. Willingness to accept responsibility and leadership roles
11. Experience in training and mentoring technicians
12. Ability to operate lifts safely
13. Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
14. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and handheld devices
15. Good written and verbal communication skills
16. Desired: Completion from HVAC Technical School
