Learn more about our benefits .As a Mechanical Engineer, you’ll leverage your strong foundation in physics, mathematics, and materials science to process and resolve mechanical problems, design and implement custom mechanical tooling and associated processes, and enable the handling, assembly, and disassembly of parts, components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies throughout the product life cycle. You'll be responsible for designing, developing, and modifying mechanical engineering layouts, schematics, and specifications. You will oversee manufacturing and installation processes, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulations- and you'll coordinate the procurement and assembly of mechanical components and equipment for design projects, identifying sources of critical parts and subsystems to resolve technical issues.Key ResponsibilitiesRisk identification and mitigation using FMECA and Design Verification TestEvaluate and work closely with Product Safety Engineering to understand the safety compliance to Applied Minimum Product Safety RequirementUnderstanding in Industry standards such as SEMI S2, IPC 610D, IPC 9592, IEC/EN 61000, JESD22, MIL-STD-810, and knowledge of safety requirement (i.e. UL/CE/TUV).Develops new acceleration techniques and analytical tools to assure the early identification of potential problems with new product safety and reliabilityPropose procedure improvement to prevent equipment damage or injuryAssist in preparing & presenting safety and reliability reports;Assist with root cause analysis of field failures and engage with suppliers on improvement changes.Functional KnowledgeDemonstrates depth and/or breadth of expertise in semiconductor equipment, especially in single point of failure products and how to improve safety and reliabilityDeep knowledge of derating and thermal management in order to increase the useful life of electrical componentsAbility to automate the data analysis using AIProblem SolvingLeads others to solve complex reliability problems; uses sophisticated analytical thought to exercise judgment and identify innovative solutionsInterpersonal SkillsCommunicates difficult concepts and negotiates with others to adopt a different point of viewAdditional InformationTime Type:Full timeEmployee Type:Assignee / RegularTravel:Yes, 10% of the TimeRelocation Eligible:YesThe salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members.
