Job summary
Xometry Europe is seeking a Molding & Casting Engineer to support or lead complex projects across Europe and with suppliers. You will analyze 3D CAD designs for Injection Molding, review DFMs, and communicate with customers and manufacturers via video calls to optimize part design and ensure manufacturability.
The role requires hands-on production floor experience in plastics processing or molding, strong knowledge of thermoplastics, and ability to explain technical solutions to diverse
Qualifications
- Experience analyzing 3D CAD designs for Injection Molding.
- Ability to review Injection Molding Design for Manufacturing (DFM) reports.
Responsibilities
- Analyze incoming 3D CAD part designs for Injection Molding and other tooling technologies.
- Check DFM reports and challenge manufacturer’s technical solutions.
- Communicate with external customers via video calls and explain DFM reports to manufacturers across Europe and Asia.
- Optimize part 3D CAD design to improve feasibility.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to resolve quality claims for molding and tooling technologies.
- Attend pre-sales meetings to support technical questions for potential projects.
