Job summary

RadNet is seeking a DEXA Technologist to join a dedicated team delivering high-quality bone density and radiographic services. You will work within licensure guidelines, monitor patient well-being during exams, and ensure technical accuracy of images and DEXA scans.

The role requires state licensure or ARRT certification where applicable, plus experience in a high-volume setting and a high school diploma with BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Must have BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs high quality DEXA (Bone Density) and diagnostic radiographic services within licensure scope.
• Monitors patient well-being during exams and responds to discomfort or medical problems.
• Evaluates radiographs and DEXA scans for technical quality.
• Responds to physician questions regarding exams.
• Uses equipment controls to produce high quality images and DEXA scans.
• Safeguards patient property and health information on site.
• Safeguards medications on site per policies and legal requirements.
• Maintains professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
• Respects patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities.
• Interacts diplomatically with patients, families, and the public in clinical settings.
• Establishes and maintains cooperative working relationships.

When you join us as a DEXA Technologist , you will be joining a dedicated team of professionals who deliver quality, value, and access in the 21 st century and align all stakeholders- patients, providers, payors, and regulators to achieve the best clinical outcomes.

You Will

• Performs high quality DEXA (Bone Density) and diagnostic radiographic services (limited to chest, extremities, skull, and torso-skeletal) on patients, within the legal scope of licensure.


• Monitors patient's well- being during exams; recognizes patient discomfort or medical problems and takes appropriate action.


• Evaluates radiographs and/or DEXA scans for technical quality.


• Responds to physician questions regarding exams.


• Understands and uses the scales, field of view, gain, voltage, amps and other adjustments and factors on the equipment in order to produce high quality images and/or DEXA scans.


• Demonstrates competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.


• Safeguards any on site medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures and any legal requirements.


• Demonstrates respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals.


• Is responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.


• Demonstrates respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.


• Demonstrates ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting.

Pay Rate: $25.00 per hour
