Job summary

Providence is seeking a DEXA Technician to perform and process x-ray films and bone densitometry procedures in our California location. The role supports the department's scope of activities and contributes to accurate imaging and patient care.

Qualified candidates have a bone densitometry or radiology program credential, California radiologic licensure or equivalent permit, BLS certification, and ARRT or Bone Densitometry registration. Prior DEXA experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Bone Densitometry or Radiology program (CRT).
• California Radiologic Technologist license or California Limited Permit X-Ray Technician – Bone Densitometry.
• National Provider BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• National Registered Technologist – Radiography or Bone Densitometry (ARRT).
• 2+ years of DEXA Technician experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform and process DEXA scans and related x-ray imaging.
• Ensure image quality and patient safety during procedures.

The DEXA Technician performs a variety of technical work related to the taking and processing of x-ray films and work relative to the department's scope of activities as required.

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of a Bone Densitometry Program or Radiology Program (CRT).
• Upon hire: California Radiologic Technologist or
• Upon hire: California Limited Permit X-Ray Technician Bone Densitometry Permit.
• Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
• Upon hire: National Registered Technologist - Radiography - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or
• Upon hire: National Registered Technologist - Bone Densitometry.
• Experience as a DEXA Technician; 2 years preferred.
