Job summary

Benefis Health System in Montana is seeking a Radiologic Technician to coordinate and perform age-specific patient assessments and imaging procedures. You will prepare the room, position the patient, acquire and record images, and help maintain equipment and workflow in the radiology department.

The ideal candidate holds a Montana radiologic technology license, ARRT in radiography, and BLS certification, with graduation from an accredited program.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; BS degree preferred.
• Graduation from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• Current State of Montana Radiologic Technology license required.
• ARRT certification in radiography.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and perform age-specific patient assessments prior to and during radiologic procedures.
• Prepare the room and patient for the procedure and record images.
• Utilize radiology equipment, evaluate study quality, and manage procedures.
• Communicate with patient, family, and other healthcare workers to support department operations.
• Adhere to licensing board requirements and Benefis Health System policies.

Responsible for coordinating and performing an age-specific patient assessment prior to and during the Radiologic procedure, preparing the room and the patient for the procedure, and recording the images. Utilizes radiology equipment accurately, evaluates the quality of the study, and performs procedure management. Communicates with the patient, family, and other healthcare workers and contributes to the efficient operation of the department.

Demonstrates the ability to deal with pressure to meet deadlines, to be accurate, and to handle constantly changing situations. Demonstrates the ability to deal with a variety of people, deal with stressful situations, and handle conflict.

Will perform all job duties or job tasks as assigned. Will follow and adhere to all requirements, regulations and procedures of any licensing board or agency. Must comply with all Benefis Health System’s organization policies and procedures.

Education/License/Experience Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent; BS degree preferred.
• Graduation from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
• Current State of Montana Radiologic Technology license required.
• Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in radiography.
• Current BLS certification.
