Job summary

Benefis Health System in Great Falls, MT, seeks an experienced CT technologist to perform age-specific assessments, prepare rooms, and operate CT equipment with precision to ensure high-quality images.

You will educate patients and families, communicate with the care team, comply with licensing and Benefis policies, and contribute to efficient department operations. A BS degree is preferred; ARRT registration and MT licensure are required or preferred per policy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree preferred but not required.
• One year radiologic/imaging experience.
• CT/MRI experience preferred.
• Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Registered with ARRT.
• Certification in CT preferred.
• Current BCLS certification.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology and medical terminology.
• Current State of Montana License for Radiologic Technology required.

Responsibilities

• Perform age-specific patient assessment prior to and during CT procedures.
• Prepare room and patient for the procedure.
• Operate CT equipment and evaluate exam quality.
• Educate the patient and family; communicate with the care team.
• Contribute to efficient operation of the department; ensure quality and continuity of patient care.
• Follow requirements, regulations and procedures of licensing boards and Benefis policies.

Responsible for performing an age-specific patient assessment prior to and during the CT procedure, preparing the room and the patient for the procedure, and performing all CT procedures. Utilizes computer tomography equipment accurately, evaluates the exam quality, and performs image management. Provides education and communicates with the patient, family, and other healthcare workers and contributes to the efficient operation of the department, promotes the philosophy, and ensures the quality and continuity of patient care.

Demonstrates the ability to deal with pressure to meet deadlines, to be accurate, and to handle constantly changing situations. Demonstrates the ability to deal with a variety of people, deal with stressful situations, and handle conflict.

Will perform all job duties or job tasks as assigned. Will follow and adhere to all requirements, regulations and procedures of any licensing board or agency. Must comply with all Benefis Health System’s organization policies and procedures. ’

Education/License/Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science degree is preferred, but not required.
• One (1) year of radiologic/imaging experience. Preferred
• Prefer specific experience and training in CT/MRI.
• Graduation from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
• Certification in CT preferred.
• Current BCLS certification.
• Knowledge and understanding of general anatomy, physiology and medical terminology.
• Current State of Montana License for Radiologic Technology required.
