Lehigh Valley Health Network seeks a DEXA Diagnostic Technologist in Radiology at Bartonsville Health Center. This per diem, day shift role performs radiographic and bone densitometry imaging with strict radiation safety and patient care standards.

Qualifications

• Technical School Diploma graduate of accredited Radiography program or equivalent.
• Less than 1 year obtains ARRT certification in Bone Densitometry.
• Ability to deal effectively and ethically with medical and confidential information.
• Understanding of how to effectively and safely use radiation producing equipment.
• Knowledge of medical technology and terminology.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support - State of Pennsylvania.
• RT - Registered Technologist Radiology - State of Pennsylvania within 1 Year

Responsabilités

• Produces radiographic and bone densitometry images of diagnostic quality, processes, and prepares images for interpretation by the radiologist.
• Accurately analyzes acquired bone densitometry data following established protocols.
• Provides radiation protection in accordance with prescribed safety standards.
• Uses appropriate exposure factors, collimation, and proper distance with documentation.
• Assumes responsibility and accountability for his/her own safety and the safety of others.
• Ensures images have crossed into PACS before study is complete.
• Coordinates daily work duties within the team and coordinates timing of exams.
• Reports equipment malfunction and the need for adjustment and/or repairs.
