Job summary

Leidos Defense seeks a DevSecOps Engineer to design and secure CI/CD pipelines for modern C++ applications, integrating SAST/DAST and dependency/container scanning. You will automate infrastructure with IaC, collaborate with cross‑functional teams, and uphold DISA STIG hardening across Linux environments.

The role focuses on automated security, build performance, and scalable deployment in real‑time systems, with opportunities to expand into broader system ownership and HWIL testing environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a technical field from ABET-accredited school.
• 2+ years of DevSecOps, DevOps, or software engineering with pipeline automation.
• Strong experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency in Linux environments with scripting and performance tuning.
• Experience with Docker/Podman and orchestration tools.
• Strong Python or scripting abilities for automation.
• Experience with building/packaging modern C++ applications.
• US Citizenship and ability to obtain DoD clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and secure CI/CD pipelines for modern C++ applications.
• Integrate security tools (SAST/DAST, scanning) into development lifecycle.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning with IaC (Ansible, Terraform).
• Collaborate with software, systems, and hardware engineers to optimize builds.
• Support software integration and deployment in HWIL and simulated environments.
• Enforce cybersecurity guidelines across Linux development and runtime environments.
• Troubleshoot build failures and pipeline bottlenecks to keep velocity high.
