Job summary

Magpie Health Analytics, Inc. is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to secure and automate AWS infrastructure for healthcare data analytics. You will build resilient environments with IaC, deploy CI/CD pipelines, and support monitoring and security across DEV, VAL, and PROD.

This role emphasizes collaboration with developers and analysts, applying encryption, IAM controls, and HIPAA-aligned practices, with opportunity to grow into a lead infrastructure position in federal health IT contexts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure automation.
• Experience managing cloud infrastructure in AWS and proficiency with IaC tools.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS (EC2, Lambda, RDS, S3, VPCs).
• Use IaC to deploy and version environments across DEV, VAL, PROD.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar.
• Write automation scripts in Python or Bash for deployment and monitoring.
• Monitor infrastructure health with CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and Splunk.
• Collaborate with developers and analysts to support data pipelines and dashboards.
• Apply encryption, access controls, IAM policies, and security best practices.
• Document architecture, configurations, and deployment procedures.
• Partner with senior engineers to improve security posture and observability.
