DevSecOps Engineer - Polygraph Clearance Required

Responsibilities:

  1. Engage in and improve the entire service lifecycle—from inception and design, to deployment, operation, and refinement—using agile methodology.
  2. Support services before they go live through system design consulting, developing software platforms and frameworks, capacity planning, and launch reviews.
  3. Embrace DevSecOps culture with a commitment to automate processes wherever possible.
  4. Maintain live services by monitoring availability, latency, and system health.
  5. Scale systems sustainably through automation; push for changes that enhance reliability and velocity.
  6. Participate in incident response and retrospectives to improve processes.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Polygraph level security clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
  • 5+ years’ experience as a DevSecOps Engineer
  • At least 5 years programming in Python, with skills in debugging, optimizing, and automating tasks
  • Systematic problem-solving skills, effective communication, and drive
  • Understanding of Unix/Linux operating systems
  • Experience building continuous, automated build and deploy pipelines
  • Experience with security scans in build and deploy processes
  • Ability to collaborate with software development and infrastructure teams for code development and deployment guidance
  • Knowledge of version control practices for upgrades and rollbacks
  • Strong understanding of containerization and orchestration tools like K8s (EKS, AKS, GKE, Kops, OpenShift)
  • Experience with GitLab CI/CD and bash scripting
  • Certifications in Agile, Lean, DevOps, Cloud, Security+ or similar
  • Familiarity with Intelligence Community IT standards and federal security standards (desired)
  • Knowledge of Army software development processes and technologies
  • Hands-on experience with agile methodologies
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams
  • Experience in consulting/client environments
