Job summary

PhoenixTeam is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to support a VA project integrating Salesforce, S-Docs, AWS, and VA Notify for high‑volume outbound communications. The role spans architecture assessment, hands-on development, and secure delivery of integration components to production.

You will design scalable, secure pipelines, implement serverless components, and ensure governance in compliance with federal standards. U.S. citizenship and eligibility for Public Trust clearance required.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in CS/IS/Cybersecurity or equivalent experience.
• Experience in DevOps/DevSecOps or software integration for federal programs.
• Hands-on Salesforce development: Apex, Flow, LWC, REST/SOAP integration patterns.
• Experience with document generation tools (S-Docs/Conga) for HTML/PDF templates.
• Experience building serverless AWS integrations (API Gateway, Lambda, SQS, DLQ).
• Experience designing high-volume, fault-tolerant integration pipelines; focus on throughput and latency.
• Experience with security testing (SAST/DAST/SCA) in CI/CD.
• Familiarity with NIST RMF, 800-53, FISMA, ATO processes.
• Experience CI/CD across environments (GitLab/Jenkins/Azure DevOps).
• Scripting in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Excellent technical writing for docs and diagrams.
• U.S. citizen eligible for Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Assess end-to-end workflow across Salesforce, S-Docs, AWS and VA Notify.
• Evaluate template generation and data dependencies for scale.
• Examine AWS Lambda capacity, SQS queues, and DLQs.
• Document architecture decisions, risks, and governance needs.
• Build and refine Salesforce data models and integration components.
• Implement API Gateway, Lambda, SQS, DLQs and monitoring for delivery status.
• Automate secrets management and access controls per security baselines.
• Integrate SAST/DAST/SCA into CI/CD pipelines.
