Job summary

TechFlow, Inc. seeks an experienced DevSecOps Engineer / Cloud Administrator (AWS) to support a DoD software modernization program in Montgomery, AL.

You will design and operate automated CI/CD pipelines, IaC, and security tooling across Cloud One (AWS) environments to deliver secure, scalable software. Collaborating with software, security, and operations teams, you will ensure compliance with DoD STIGs, manage container deployments with Docker/Kubernetes, and drive reliability and rapid

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CS/IT/Engineering.
  • Active DoD 8140/8570 IAT Level II baseline (Security+ or equivalent).
  • 5+ years in DevSecOps engineering and AWS cloud administration.
  • Hands-on CI/CD design using GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, or similar tools.
  • IaC experience with Ansible or similar frameworks.
  • Proficiency with AWS and cloud production environments.
  • Experience with Docker, containers, and orchestration.
  • Security tooling (SAST/DAST/OSA) integrated into CI/CD.
  • DoD STIGs familiarity and secure cloud practices.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, maintain automated CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, or gov-approved tools.
  • Develop and maintain IaC for AWS cloud environments (Ansible or equivalent).
  • Administer Cloud One (AWS) environments ensuring availability, security, and compliance.
  • Integrate security tooling into SDLC (SAST, DAST, OSA, container security).
  • Manage SBOM findings in line with security and compliance requirements.
  • Manage container deployments with Docker and orchestration platforms.
  • Implement secrets management and automated backup/disaster recovery.
  • Support production releases with installation plans and IaC artifacts.
  • Maintain deployment artifacts and improve deployment success through automation.
  • Monitor cloud infrastructure, fix incidents, and troubleshoot deployments.
  • Collaborate with developers to improve build automation, scalability, and reliability.

Job description

TechFlow is seeking an experienced DevSecOps Engineer / Cloud Administrator (AWS) to support a mission‑critical DoD software development and modernization program in Montgomery, AL. This program provides software development and technical support services to sustain, enhance, and optimize a critical customer system through secure, scalable, and maintainable software solutions.

In this role, you will lead the implementation and administration of the program's DevSecOps ecosystem, supporting secure software delivery across Cloud One (AWS) environments. You will be responsible for designing and maintaining automated CI/CD pipelines, implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC), integrating security and compliance automation, administering cloud infrastructure, and ensuring reliable, secure deployment of mission‑critical applications. Working closely with software engineers, database administrators, architects, testers, and cybersecurity stakeholders, you will help accelerate software delivery while maintaining the highest standards of security, reliability, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, maintain, and continuously improve fully automated CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, or other Government‑approved tools.
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Ansible or equivalent technologies to automate provisioning, configuration, and management of AWS cloud environments.
  • Administer and support all Cloud One (AWS) environments, ensuring system availability, performance, security, and compliance.
  • Integrate automated security capabilities into the software development lifecycle, including Static Application Security Testing (SAST), Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST), Open Source Analysis (OSA), container security scanning, and related DevSecOps tools.
  • Generate, maintain, and remediate Software Bill of Materials (SBOM) findings in accordance with program security and compliance requirements.
  • Manage containerized application deployments using Docker and container orchestration technologies.
  • Implement secure secrets management, credential protection, and automated backup and disaster recovery processes for DevSecOps infrastructure and tooling.
  • Support production software releases by developing installation plans, infrastructure deployment packages, data migration scripts, STIG documentation, and Infrastructure as Code artifacts.
  • Maintain deployment artifacts within the program's binary repository and support high deployment success rates through automation and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor cloud infrastructure, troubleshoot deployment and operational issues, and rapidly resolve production incidents.
  • Collaborate with software development teams to improve build automation, release processes, infrastructure scalability, and application reliability.
  • Ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity requirements, configuration management standards, and secure cloud operating practices.
  • Critical geographical requirement: Candidates must have the ability to report to the customer’s location in Montgomery, AL within two (2) hours of notification. Primary residence must be within 60 miles of Montgomery, AL.
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in DevSecOps engineering and AWS cloud administration.
  • Active DoD 8140/8570 IAT Level II baseline certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+ or equivalent).
  • Hands‑on experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, or similar automation platforms.
  • Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Ansible or comparable automation frameworks.
  • Proficiency with AWS cloud services and administration of cloud‑based production environments.
  • Experience with Docker, containerization technologies, and container orchestration platforms.
  • Experience integrating security tools such as SAST, DAST, Open Source Analysis (OSA), container scanning, and SBOM management into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience implementing secure configuration management, secrets management, and automated deployment processes.
  • Familiarity with DoD cybersecurity requirements, Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), and secure cloud environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting, automation, scripting, and systems engineering skills.
  • Active Secret Security Clearance
Preferred Qualifications
  • AWS Certification, such as: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer.
  • Experience supporting Air Force Cloud One environments.
  • Experience supporting DoD software modernization programs.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes or other container orchestration platforms.
  • Experience with Terraform or additional Infrastructure as Code tools.
  • Knowledge of RMF accreditation processes and DevSecOps best practices.
  • Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability platforms such as CloudWatch, ELK, Grafana, or Prometheus.
  • Experience supporting high‑availability cloud architectures and disaster recovery planning.
