The AUKUS, Submarines, and Industrial Base Group (ASIG) within the Sea, Land, Air Division provides timely, objective analytic assessments that integrate technical, operational, programmatic, policy and business analysis to NAVSEA Team Submarine program offices and key stakeholders surrounding submarine platform construction. Analysts and Engineers supporting Team Submarine continue SPA’s support to the SSBN force, oversee cutting‑edge attack submarine construction, develop design requirements for the SSN platform of the future, and plan and execute innovative strategies to strengthen the submarine shipbuilding industrial base.

Position Summary

SPA has a need for a DevSecOps Engineer in Philadelphia, PA, contingent on contract award.

Responsibilities

The DevSecOps Engineer will support Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia clients in developing tools to support Cybersecurity M&S, MBSE, analysis, incident response, and assessments, as well as integrate with other efforts to evaluate, validate, recommend, or implement cybersecure system design practices. This role is located in person on the client site at Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia in the Philadelphia Navy Yard.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• BS Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering from an ABET accredited program, or BS Degree in one of the following fields: Computer Science, Data Science, Information Sciences, Artificial Intelligence, or Machine Learning
• 5+ years of professional experience integrating hardware and software using Agile and/or DevOps/DevSecOps, in a professional or academic setting
• Current DoD Security Clearance and the ability to maintain it throughout employment, minimum SECRET

Desired Qualifications

• 1+ years professional experience developing HPC code and developing Machine Learning or Artificial Intelligence
